Rachael Williams - Owner / Head Trainer
I've been a part of Be Heeled since 2021! I started out as a client, where I learned just how GOOD life can be with your dog! After working with Be Heeled's founder, I was hooked and ready to make a career leap! I previously taught middle school Spanish, and while the content has changed, I still have such a passion for teaching and love to help owners and dogs learn how to speak each other's languages! I want nothing more than to see you fully enjoying, and at peace, with your dog and the life you have together. I recently transitioned from Employee to Owner in January, 2024 and I'm so excited for the journey to continue!
Aside from dog training, I am also a Certified Personal Trainer, and in my free time I love spending time with my husband and dog (Lincoln!), hiking, reading, drinking coffee, and game nights with family & friends!
Meet Lincoln!
We got Lincoln at 8-weeks old and while I had done A LOT of research on how to start training from Day 1, and I knew I wanted the reliability and freedom of remote collar training, when it came down to it I also knew I needed help and guidance on how to do it well! Even though we were teaching Lincoln all the good boy skills, we most definitely felt the puppy blues (cuteness doesn't override that demon-like behavior!!), and were struggling so much with how to appropriately stop Lincoln's bad behaviors (I had days where I was seriously asking myself what I had gotten myself into). Learning that side of the equation - fair punishment - changed everything for us! My relationship with Lincoln went from one of frustration to one that was flourishing because I knew how to communicate more clearly. Our family had our peace back again when we all got on the same page, which in turn opened up our world with Lincoln to live a much bigger life together <3
Lincoln is the best co-worker and is great at helping teach your dog how to properly and safely interact with other dogs (& he's always down for a fun time)!
Training Background
Be Heeled has been serving dogs & their families for 6+ years! I have been training with the company full-time for over 2 years now, initially under the expert guidance of Be Heeled's founder. During this time, I've worked with upwards of 100 dogs of all different breeds & personalities. I've worked with clients from one-on-one private lessons, to 4+ week Board and Trains. I took part in a Shadow Program with The Good Dog Training and Rehabilitation (New Orleans, LA) in Fall 2022, where I learned how to sharpen and enhance my craft to be a better trainer for dogs and people! I'm looking forward to my continued education in 2024 with other trainers I admire!
